Questions To Ask Your Caterer

 

Who is the contact person when planning the event?  A.Russ or Maggie Roper

Who is the contact person for the event?  A.Will be assigned

What are your serving sizes?  A. Large

When do you suggest we do the toast and cut the cake?  A. Within the first hour of your reception

Will you provide a cake table for the wedding cake?  A.Yes

Do you charge a cake cutting fee?  A.No

Where will the place cards and gifts be placed?  A.We will provide a gift table

Will you assist with valet parking, music, flowers, photography, ect.?  A.Upon your request, Yes

Is there a curfew at the event?  A. Check with your location

How many staff will be working the event?  A.One per every forty guest

How is your staff attired?  ATypically: black shoes, socks, vest or cummerbunds and pants, with white tuxedo shirt and name tags.

What are your substitution policies?  A. Substitutions are available for comparable goods.

Are vegetarian and special meals available?  A.Yes

Will you feed the band, DJ, photographer and others working the event?  A.We will prepare for the number of guest you request.

When can I expect your written proposal?  A. Within two business days

What is your policy regarding booking fees and cancellations?  A. Booking fees are non-refundable

When is the final payment due?  A.Two weeks prior to event

Are there other charges for set-up, delivery, overtime, ect.?  A. No charge for setting up our displays. Your contract is good for four hours from the start of your event. Anything over this will be billed according to the amount of time and number of wait staff. Delivery is based upon travel distance and number of guest.

Do you take credit cards?  A.No

Do you take personal and business checks? A Yes

When must I give you my final guarantee?  A.One week prior to the event

What is the sales tax, and what are your gratuity/service charge policy?  A.All inclusive

Will you provide table numbers?  A.Yes, upon request

What size tables do you offer?  A.All sizes are available (prices vary)

What are the options for linen, chair covers, china, stemware, flatware?  A. Large selection available upon request. Buffet, DJ, and gift tablecloths are provided at no additional cost.
